The Music Unlimited Scholarship
In honor of: Carol Louise Drury
Sponsored by: Caroline Jurosky
Carol Louise Drury was a woman who lived without limits. A musician, veteran, adventurer, Harley rider, and trailblazer—Carol shattered barriers in both military and environmental fields, all while creating space for other women to follow.
She proudly served 30 years in the United States Army and the New York Army National Guard, retiring with the rank of Major. As the second woman ever hired by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Division of Law Enforcement, she retired as a Captain, having mentored countless others as a firearms and defensive tactics instructor.
Later in life, she became a licensed New York State Guide and spent her retirement teaching outdoor skills to women through New York Outdoors Women, proving that it’s never too late to try something new or share your gifts.
Carol was known by her friends as “The Princess of Planning”—organizing cross-country motorcycle trips and showing others how to live boldly, love deeply, and never stop exploring.
In her spirit, the Music Unlimited Scholarship provides full or partial tuition for a camper attending Scranton Girls Rock Summer Camp—someone who is ready to express themselves, discover their courage, and find their voice through music and creativity.
This scholarship honors Carol’s belief that women and girls can do anything—and that music, adventure, and leadership are meant to be shared.

A Note to Families:
We understand that every child expresses themselves differently. There are no right or wrong answers—this is just a chance for your child to share who they are and why this opportunity would mean something to them. We want this to feel empowering, not intimidating.
